Picture: top: Colonel John Williams & his 3rd wife, Ann Nancy Ballard Humphries Williams- not verified. 2nd row top left: Family word of mouth has it that James Williams was not a good businessman, and because of a bad $500 debt, lost the family house. Colonel John Williams purchased Frogg Level Farm and deeded it to James' wife and children so they would have somewhere to live. It then was handed down to Paul Clayton Williams, to Edward James Williams, and presently Edna Williams Smith. He was friends with Ruby Noble Ervin of the Noble's Mill Family. They believed that a past family dispute over money/land had disrupted the NOBLE-WILLIAMS relationship, each side never to claim kinsthip again. Miss Ruby knew the Colonel and the relationships but died with her.
