Simmons family that married into The Bells. The man in uniform and dressed up looking important is George F. Simmons. I was told he was head of police at some point. He was also a prominent businessman and owned the stables shown and other properties. He is buried in Maplewood. Most of the other Bell pictures that I sent, those individuals are in Maplewood cememtery Kinston, also. George lived 1862-1939, marrying twice, his wives, both Taylors, first died younger. He came from Duplin county and his father was Stephen Simmons who was in the Civil War. Stephen is also in Maplewood.
