Nannie Elizabeth Heath Edwards & David Nathan Edwards
On the family photos you’ve posted one of my great grandmother, Nannie
Elizabeth Heath Edwards (1858-1942) submitted by Susan Hoffman. I’ve
attached a much earlier photo when “Granny Edwards” and her husband
David Nathan Edwards (of Greene County and Kinston) were in midlife. It
comes from a “trilogy” of photos (marriage 1877, midlife and just before
David Nathan’s death in 1925) that have hung on our walls for many years.
The photo over her left shoulder in that view, I believe, is my grandmother
Hattie Belle Edwards Taylor. I also grew up with that photo always present
in our home.
