I am researching the TYNDALL (TINDALL)family.  My grandfather was Elza Parker TYNDALL(b.1873), married to Hannah Janie HUFFMAN. Elza's father was Andrew Jackson TYNDALL(b.1849).  Andrew's father, James TYNDALL,Jr., was born 1814.  I am looking for James Jr.'sfather.  It is rumored he came to Lenoir Co. fromHorry Co., SC, and spelled his name TINDALL.I am unable to find any records of James Sr.  Any help wouldbe greatly appreciated and I'm happy to share any information Ihave.  I also have quite a bit of info on the HUFFMANfamily.  Thanks.

I have a DAVENPORT line of genealogystarting with William DAVENPORT in late1700's.  He was born in Pitt Co., but after servingin the Revolution he moved his unknown wife and known children toLenoir Co and lived there until he died.  Some ofthe children stayed in Lenoir Co. but my ancester camesouth to GA in the early 1800's.  I do have info onthe children who remained in Lenoir Co. on my genealogyhome page.  I am still working on the page along with theperson who really has the knowledge and knows what she isdoing.  However, the DAVENPORT page is upand running.   The address for my page if anyone wouldlike to look at it is: htt://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ridge/3153 .Thank you.

I am interested in contacting anyone who is researchingthe prominent BRIGHT family of Craven/Dobbs/Lenoircounties in the eighteenth centuries.  Much of theresearch done by Creasey in the forties appears very seriously flawed in light of what has been discovered since then. Research by Dr. Charles Holloman in the sixties and seventies isbetter, but may also contain serious errors.  I amespecially interested in uncovering new documentary evidence(wills, Bible records, deeds, indentures, etc.) for proof, as Ithink I have found a number of places where the chronologicalevidence renders these traditional interpretationswrong.

By the end of 1830 he had relocated in WeakleyCo, TN and had 3 more children: Mary (b. 1830), Simmons (b.1832) and Joseph (b. 1835).
