The Standard of Raleigh, Jan. 20 1864 COMMITTED, TAKEN UP AND COMMITTED to the jail of Surry County, North Carolina, on the 20th day of October 1863, a Negro boy, who says his name is BEN, and says he belongs to JOSHUA ROUSE of Lenoir County, North Carolina. Said boy is about 18 or 20 years old, about 5 feet eight to 10 inches high, dark.
