Allen Tyndall

LUCAMA—Allen Tyndall, 79, died Monday Aug. 7, 2006.  Allen was born 
Aug. 26, 1926, in Jones County to Roland and Carrie Reynolds Tyndall.  
He was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Atlantic Christian 
(Barton) College.  A retired farmer, he enjoyed growing and sharing 
vegetables from his roadside stand.  His church membership was at 
Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Kinston.  His greatest joy in life was 
his family, farming, talking and visiting with his friends.  Funeral services 
will be held Wednesday, at 7 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 
Fieldstream Drive, Wilson.  A time of sharing will follow.  Interment will 
be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston.  
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Davenport Tyndall; Linda Carol Tyndall 
Mathes and husband, Gordon of Rocky Mount; grandson, Michael 
Sean Branch and wife, Shiloh; granddaughters, Barbara Yurkutat and 
Susie Mathes; great-granddaughters, Chloe McKenzie Branch, Anna 
Grace and Caroline Joy Yurkutat; sisters, Norma Lee T. Yelverton of 
Wilson and Lorraine T. Pate of Rocky Mount; brother, Arnold Tyndall 
and wife Blanche of Columbus, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; 
sisters-in-law, Brenda Pierce and husband Donald of Raleigh, Ronell 
Harper and husband Leo, Dean Stroud and, Sis Davenport, all of Deep 
Run; brother-in-law, Bobby Davenport of Kinston.  Memorials may be 
made to the charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements by Wilson Memorial
