Carrie M. Scott
KINSTON—Carrie M. Scott, 91, of 3486 N.C. 11 N., formerly of Jones County,
died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She was the
daughter of Clem and Missouri Jones and was a member of Bethel Free
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Scott.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home with
the Rev. David Paramore officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial
Park. Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral before the service from 1 to 2
p.m. and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and
Thomas Huggins, 3486 N.C. 11 N. She is survived by three daughters, Edna
Adams and husband, Victor of Grifton, Ruby Huggins and husband, Thomas
of Kinston and Frances Cockrell and husband, Donny of Snow Hill; special
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Evelyn Scott; seven grandchildren,
eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements by
