DOVER—Dorothy Bland Jarman Tilghman, Monday, March 7, 2005 The Meadows
of Pink Hill, N.C. Born April 16, 1916, Mrs. Tilghman was preceded in death by
her husband W. O. Tilghman, Jr.; son, Larry Alexander Tilghman and daughter
Dorothy Rose Daughety. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Hines and husband,
Tommie; grandchildren, Michelle French and fiancee Steve Jones, Richard Lee
“Sam” Howell and wife, Penny, Alicia Scott Bulcuc and husband, Gary;
great-granddaughter, Renee Hill and husband, Ricky, Emily Thompson, Hannah
Howell, great-great-grandson, Dylan Hill; a special nephew, Ghermon Lane and
wife, Glenda; and her caregivers, The Angels of The Meadows of Pink Hill.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at
Pinelawn Memorial Park, Kinston, N.C. with the Rev. Wayne Lee officiating.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday night, March 8, 2005, in the
chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home. (Paid obituary)
