Raymond Pollock, Jr. Obituary 6-18-1976 Raymond Pollock, Jr. Raymond Pollock, 62, 1607 Lucerne Way died at Craven County Hospital this morning after an extended illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Pollock-Lineberry Funeral Service. Survivors are: his widow, Mrs. Florence Richardson Pollock; four daughters, Mrs. John R. Hassell of Bathesda, Md., Mrs. Thomas E. Robinson of Rockville, Md., Miss Sarah E. Pollock on (sic) Pinehurst and Miss Ann Paton Pollock of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Wiley T. Crawford of New Bern and Mrs. Paul Johnstone of Fairfax, Va.; and two grandchildren. He was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge; New Bern Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies, having been raised to the honorary degree of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in November, 1973; Sudan Shrine Temple; New Bern Elks Lodge; New Bern Rotary Club and Centenary United Methodist Church. He was President and owner of Pollock Funeral Home until August 1974, when the funeral home was consolidated as Pollock-Lineberry Funeral Service and he became vice president. He was a past president of the New Bern Jaycees, being honored by that group with the Distinguished Service Award in 1933; and a lifelong member of the New Bern Atlantic Steam and Fire Engine Company. He was president of the North Carolina State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers in 1957-58. The family will receive friends at Pollock-Lineberry Funeral Home from 7 until 8 p.m. Saturday.
