PAUL F. BROOKS
Paul F. Brooks, 62, of 632 Powell Drive, Rocky Mount, died at Duke Hospital
Tuesday. He was a veteran of World War 2 and a parts salesman for Haynes,
Inc. He was the son of Mrs. Reba Craft Brooks of Kinston and the late Dennis
F. Brooks. Services will be held from the chapel of Howard and Carter Funeral
Home at 3:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. David Alexander officiating. Interment will
follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Ruebell Taylor
Brooks of the home; three sons, Lawrence G. of Chicago, Ill., Phillip of Kinston
and Jimmy of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie B. Memory and Mrs. Jean
B. Sanderson of Kinston; his mother; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Aaron
of Kinston, Arden of Rocky Mt. and Eddie of California; six sisters, Mrs. James
Taylor of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Myrtle Dixon of Newport, Mrs. Archie Robins of
Kinston, Mrs. T. B. Smith of Jacksonville, Mrs. Marvin Robertson of Goldsboro
and Mrs. Winnie Mae Ellis of Kinston. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Nellie B.
