Vanessa Lee Pearce

Vanessa Lee Pearce, 49, of Greenville, N.C., died Tuesday October 24, 2006 
in Dover, Del.  Vanessa was a special friend to many and she always loved to talk.  
She never met a stranger.  She was a Tupperware dealer for many years.  
Vanessa was a devoted wife, a loving and tolerant mother and a caring daughter 
and sister.  She was boisterous and jolly and she was always the center of attention.  
She loved her granddaughter; nieces; and nephews; and she gave the best gifts in 
the world.  She shared her life and love with many and she will surely be missed.  
Survivors are her husband, David R. Pearce of Greenville; son Zachary Lee Pearce 
and wife Kelly of LaGrange, N.C.; granddaughter Kyra Tyndall of LaGrange; daughter 
Abigale Kelly Pearce of the home; Van and Jean Lee of Kinston; sister Sissy Lee 
Elmore and husband Lynn of Deep Run, brother Jerry Van Lee and wife Beverly of 
Raleigh; brother Floyd Lee of Dallas, Texas; Glenda Cahoon Jakamedes and 
husband Paul of New Bern; brother Glen “Beet” and wife Alice of San Antonio, 
Tex.; and brother-in-law Steven Pearce and wife Suzanne of Clearwater, Fla.  She 
is also survived by nieces Amanda Lee, Cassidy Elmore, Martha Vann Alford, Lara 
Lee, Mary Lee, Jenny Bowles; and nephews Zeb Alford, Jorday Lee, Joshua Lee, 
Chris Cahoon, Todd Cahoon, Jeff Cuevas, Jerome Cuevas, Blake and Taylor Pearce.  
She is predeased by a daughter, Rebekah Pearce; and brother Rusty Lee.  Funeral 
services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 in the chapel at Edwards Funeral 
Home with visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Edwards Funeral Home 
and at other times at the home of her parents, 1887 Rusty Lee Road.  Officiating at 
the service will be the Rev. Mark Benson and the Rev. William Roberts.  Edwards 
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  (Paid obituary)
