WILLIE CORDELIA SUTTON
POLLOCKSVILLE—Miss Willie C. Sutton, 84, of 3232 Hwy 58 N. in Trenton died
Saturday, August 17, 2002, at Trent Village Nursing Home. Miss Sutton was a
retired Social Services Director in Pamlico County for many years. She was a
member of Lanie’s Chapel Christian Church. Graveside services were held at
Westview Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Roberts officiated. Survivors include nieces
and nephews: Ann Sykes of Kinston, Delores Gray of Poquosin, Va., Elizabeth
Johnson of Fukuoka, Japan, Franklin Heath of Trenton, Howard Sholl of Wilmington,
Del. and Steven Sholl of Trenton; several great-nieces and nephews and several
great-great-nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Lanie’s
Chapel Christian Church. Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
