WILMOUTH ALMA SUTTON TAYLOR

KINSTON—Wilmouth Alma Sutton Taylor, 107, of  1308 Holman St. died Monday, 
July 18, 2005, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Taylor was born May 27, 1898, 
one of 11 children and the daughter of Robert Ivey Sutton and Wilmouth Susan 
Taylor Sutton and was the wife of the late Raymond Taylor.  She was a homemaker 
and member of Gordon Street Christian Church.  A graveside service will be held at 
11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Benson 
officiating.  She is survived by a son, Elwood Taylor and wife, Ruby Taylor of Laurel, 
Md., (James Robert Taylor deceased) and wife Betty Heath Taylor; two daughters, 
Marjorie Eoline Taylor Cheek and (husband, R. E. Cheek, deceased), Eloise Taylor 
Helms and (husband J. Luther Helms, deceased) both of Kinston, N.C.; six 
grandchildren, Margaret Louise Taylor Bridges, Carla Sue Taylor, Rupert Ernest 
Cheek, III, Michael James Helms, Jane Eloise Helms Vance and Laura Erwin Taylor 
Barwick; six great-grandchildren, Eric Augustus Helms, Michelle Marie Helms, Melissa 
Jane Helms, Nicholas T. Cheek, Phillip Taylor Trzcinski and Abby Lynn Hancock and 
three great-great-grandchildren, Bailey Anne Hancock, Oscar James Edrada and Logan 
Johnson.  The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Edwards 
Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Gordon Street Christian Church, 118 E.
