ANNIE W. LOFTIN Kinston—Annie Mertie Waller Loftin, 102, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Loftin was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Edwards Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Buckman and E. D. Robinson officiating. Internment will be held at Westview Cemetery. She was predeceased by her husband, Garland C. Loftin, daughter, Virginia Waler Gauter, and a son, Edgar Clarence Waller. She is survived by two sons, Garland H. Loftin and Joseph C. Waller, both of Kinston; daughter Sandra W. Basden of Kinston; sister Julia Smith of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six step great- grandchildren; eight obit cut off....
