She was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents John Waller and Ida Tyndall Waller and her husband Dan Gooding and a son, Floyd Gooding. Services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Rev. T. M. “Tim” Nichols officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at Westview Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Hilda Gooding Hill and husband, Charles, of Raleigh, and Dannie Susan Daniels and husband, David, of Kinston; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Gooding of Kinston; three grandsons, Dan Daniels, Bill Massengill and Bob Massengill; five great-grandchildren, Anna Massengill, Steven Massengill, Foster Massengill, Danae Massengill and Morgan Daniels.
