FINANCIAL TROUBLES CAUSE SUICIDE-W. B. BURGESS OF KINSTON

Kinston, May 14 - Mr. W. B. Burgess committed suicide last night, shooting himself with a
pistol. He had just returned home from his work. He was foreman of the planing mill
department of Hines Brothers Lumber Company, and was about 55 years old, and a highly
respected citizen of Kinston. He leaves a wife and six children. The probable reason for his
rash act was financial troubles. The remains were buried this afternoon in Maplewood
cemetery at 4:30.
