May 15, 1911. Charlotte Observer. FINANCIAL TROUBLES CAUSE SUICIDE-W. B. BURGESS OF KINSTON Kinston, May 14 - Mr. W. B. Burgess committed suicide last night, shooting himself with a pistol. He had just returned home from his work. He was foreman of the planing mill department of Hines Brothers Lumber Company, and was about 55 years old, and a highly respected citizen of Kinston. He leaves a wife and six children. The probable reason for his rash act was financial troubles. The remains were buried this afternoon in Maplewood cemetery at 4:30. Please do not contact me as I do not have any information on these individuals.
