November 10, 1912. Charlotte Observer. SERGEANT JORDAN A SUICIDE Kinston, Nov. 9 - A telegram received here states that Cecil M. Jordan, sergeant, Unites States Army, committed suicide at York, Pa. Jordan was a native of this city and well connected. No particulars obtained, and no cause can be assigned by the family here for the act, which is suppose to have been due to temporary mental aberration. Jordan was 35 years of age, the eldest son of Charles M. Jordan of Kinston, and was well known and had many friends here. He was in charge of the army recruiting office at Lancaster, Pa., and his mother had just returned from a visit to him. He leaves a wife, mother, father, four brothers and one sister. The remains will be shipped here for burial. Please do not contact me as I do not have any information on these individuals.
