Obituary of Daphnia Gladys Antwine Bennett -- 2001

Kinston—Daphnia Gladys Antwine Bennett, 73, of 408 W. Lenoir Ave., Kinston, 
N.C. passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2001.  Ms. Bennett was preceded in death 
by her husband Cecil Earl Bennett.  Ms. Bennett was retired from Glen Raven 
Mills.  She was a member of Rivermont Holiness Church.  Survivors include her 
daughter, Daphnia JoAnn Havrilla of the home; three sons, William McKinley 
Bennett of the home, John C. Bennett of Bloxom, Va. And Ralph Cecil Bennett 
of Willow Springs, N.C.; one step-daughter, Peggy Alphin of Warsaw; two sisters, 
Katie Sasser and Annie Potter, both of Kinston; ten grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Howard-Carter & 
Stroud Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Horne officiating.  Burial will follow in 
Westview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday 
night at Howard-Carter & Stroud Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may 
be made to the Rivermont Holiness Church c/o Joan Johnson, 607 Rhodes Ave.
