Obituary of David Alton Eubanks -- 2004

Kinston --- David Alton Eubanks, 55, of 2656 Pine Knoll Drive, died Thursday, 
December 23, 2004.  Mr. Eubanks worked with the Department of Corrections.  
He served as a Methodist Minister for over 26 years and was involved with the 
youth as a coach of basketball, baseball and football.  He loved to sing gospel 
music and was an avid golfer.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on 
Monday, December 27, 2004 from the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with 
Reverend Bobby Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.  
Survivors include his wife, Pamela  Scott Eubanks of the home; his mother, 
Grace W. Eubanks of Kinston; his father David M. Eubanks of Trenton; daughter 
Celeste Lynn McKinney of Kinston; sons, David Alton Eubanks, Jr. of Kinston, 
Scott Eubanks of Pink Hill, Corey Spence and Mat Spence, both of Kinston; 
sisters Nancy Elden of Wilmington, JoAnn Huettl of Kinston, brother Dalton 
Eubanks of Grifton; and twelve grandchildren.  The family will receive friends 
from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday at the church and other times at his mother’s 
at 901 Phillips Road.  Garner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
