Obituary of Dora Bland Lee ~ 1963

MRS. DORA BLAND LEE:  Mrs. Dora Bland Lee, 83, widow of Thomas Richard Lee of 
203 West Peyton Avenue, died at a local hospital about 9 a.m. Monday.  She was 
a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the daughter of the late 
Christopher C. and Cecelia Boyd Bland of Pitt County.  Funeral services will 
be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday from her home.  Dr. Thomas Hamilton, her pastor, 
will officiate.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ina Mae Lee of the home; one grandson, 
Thomas Leslie Lee Jr. of Kinston; two granddaughters, Mrs. Albert W. Cowper of 
Kinston and Miss Patricia Ann Lee of Kinston; two great-grandsons, Lee and 
Richard Cowper, both of Kinston.  Mrs. Lee was the mother of the late Dr. T. 
Leslie Lee, who died in 1949.  The body will be at Garner's Funeral Home until 
2 p.m. Tuesday.  Pallbearers will be Ed Johnson, Jimmy Shell, Earl Pressly, 
Dick Parker, Aubrey Wiggins and Harry Sutton.
