Jarman, Elwood B. KINSTON - Elwood B. Jarman, 79, of Kinston, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008. Mr. Jarman was born in Lenoir County on February 14, 1929 to the late Clarence "Doc" Jarman and Betty Cauley Jarman. He was Owner and Operator of Jarman Tire Co., Inc.; a member of Southwood Christian Church and Past Master of Richard Caswell Masonic Lodge #705. He served his Country during the Korean Conflict as a Navy Medic. Survivors include his wife, Hazel R. Jarman of the home; daughters, Terry Sutton and husband Ronnie of Deep Run, Sharon Frantzen and husband Ben of Blowing Rock, Susie Swinson and husband Bobby of Pink Hill; sons, E. Donald Jarman and wife Cindy of Mt. Olive, Henry "Hank" Jarman and wife Donna of Kinston; grandchildren, Jason Jarman, Katharine Jarman, Laura Jarman, Leigh Ann Jarman, Hannah Jarman, Joseph Jarman, Mark Sutton and John Sutton; brother, Howard "John" Jarman of Deep Run. The family will receive friends from 7:00 ? 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Vernon officiating. Masonic Graveside rites will follow at Westview Cemetery.
