Flossie Taylor McDaniel

Mrs. Flossie Taylor McDaniel, 91, of Kinston Route 3, went to her eternal rest 
Aug. 12, 1998, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.  She was the widow of Reynold H. 
McDaniel.  She was a member of Lanie’s Chapel Christian Church where she 
was the pianist for 40 years, and honorary member of the Bluegrass Association, 
a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Funeral services will be 
held at 3 pm Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, from the chapel of Edwards Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Morgan Daughety and the Rev. Bob Hagerty presiding.  Her eternal 
resting place will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park.  She has two children, a son, 
Bobby McDaniel and a daughter-in-law, Russell of Kinston, and a daughter, 
Peggy M. Taylor and son-in-law, Clifton Taylor of Kinston; also seven grandchildren, 
Randy McDaniel of Deep Run, Annette McDaniel of Kinston, Danny McDaniel of 
Kinston, Peggy Jean Taylor of Williamston, Teresa Murray of Kinston, Dede 
Herring of Kinston and Gina Cox of Trenton; eight great-grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews.  Family will be at the home of Peggy and Clifton Taylor, 4153 
Elm Grove Road.  Memorials may be made to Lanie’s Chapel Christian Church, 
Route 3, Box 311, Kinston, NC 28501.  (Paid obit.)
