GRIFTON - George Allie "Bill" Grady, 72, of Grifton, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009. Mr. Grady was born in Lenoir County on July 1, 1936, to the late Jimmy Walter and Lizzie Hall Grady. Mr. Grady is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Shepherd Grady of the home; and his sister, Hazel Faulkner of La Grange. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
