Deep Run--Idlee Philyaw Raines,69,of 1327 Old Pink Hill Road went to be with her Savior
July 17,1998 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.Mrs.Raines was a member of Deep Run
First Baptist Church,Order of the Eastern Star No.53,NCT Campers Club,Good Sam Campers 
Club.She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ida Philyaw,sisters Henrietta
Mills,Eva Thomas and brother Clifton Philyaw.Survivers include her husband,Edward E.Raines;
two daughters and sons-in-law,Pam and Buddy Howard,Bonnie and John Watford;four sons and
daughters-in-law,Ronnie and Ginger Raines,Randy and Veronica Raines,Mike and Helen Raines,
Buzz and Lorrie Raines;Grandchildren are Stacy Howard,Chris Raines,Clay Raines,Candi Raines,
Charity Watford,Bethany Watford,Jim Abercrombie,Derek Raines,Crystal Raines,Danielle Raines,
Tiffany Glover and a great-grandchild,Amber Pridgen.Surviving sister and brothers,Sadie 
Metts,Lewis Philyaw,Marvin Philyaw,and Esley Philyaw;Special brother and sister-in-law,Eddie 
and Phyllis Cardosi.She was a homemaker,devoted wife ,mother,and friend foremost to many.As 
a substitute teacher for Lenoir County Schools for 25 years she has enriched and touched many 
lives.She leaves many relatives,friends and extended family,who were honored to have been
touched by her love.
