Jesse W. WARTERS Dies at LaGrange Home on Sunday

LaGrange, Jan. 8, 1945-(Special)-Jesse W. WARTERS, 70, died at his home 
here about 6 p.m. Sunday, after an illness of three years. A son of the 
late George and Sallie Ann WARTERS, he was a life-long resident of 
LaGrange. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the home, 
conducted by Rev. J. D. AUTRY, Methodist minister of LaGrange, Burial will 
follow at Piney Grove Church near Seven Springs.

WARTERS is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Hines WARTERS, seven sisters, 
Mrs. Lula May of Dudley, Mrs. J. W. HOSEA, Mrs. Annie QUINN, Pikeville; 
Mrs. M. M. FULLER, Raleigh; Mrs. Fannie MEARES, Shallotte; Mrs. Selma 
PERSON, Camden; and Miss Lily WARTERS of LaGrange; two brothers, John W. 
of Norfolk, Va.; and George of LaGrange.
