December 22, 1936. Tuesday. The following article appeared in the Kinston Free Press, Kinston, NC. "PROMINENT LOCAL MAN DIES TUESDAY: J. H. Albritton Victim of Heart Attack At 1 P.M. - J. H. Albritton, 72, died from a heart attack at his home, 117 West Caswell Street, about 1 p.m. Tuesday. He had been in failing health about three years. Mr. Albritton was a son of the late Charles and Nancy Albritton of Greene County. He had made Lenoir County his home for 45 years. Surviving with a widow, Mrs. Ida Bland Albritton, are two daughters, Mrs. D. R. Williams of Lenoir County, and Mrs. C. R. Jones of Nashville, Tenn. Funeral arrangements will be announced later."
