Lynwood Earl “Sam” Antwine, 63, of 844 Black Harper Road, Kinston, died Wednesday, 
Aug. 2, 2000 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.  He was a licensed funeral director for over 14 
years and served in the U.S. Army.  Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, 
Aug. 5, 2000 from Westview Cemetery with Pastor Archie Ratliff officiating.  Survivors 
include his wife, Marie M. Antwine of the home; a daughter, Frankie A. Sanderson and 
husband, Timmy of Kinston; two sons, Toby Antwine and wife, Sue of Norton, Ohio and 
Lyn Antwine and wife, Carolyn of La Grange; five grandchildren, Brandy, Bryan, 
Christopher, Joshua and Tyler, and one great-grandchild, Austin.  The family will receive 
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening at Garner Funeral Home and other times at 
the home of his won, Lyn, 4015 Harold Sutton Road, La Grange.  (Pd. Obit.)
