KINSTON-Mr.Luby Leroy Edwards,84,of 3207 Rouse Road,died Wednesday at Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.He was a retired farmer,served with the U.S.Army Air Force from 1940-1950, and was a member of Disabled American Veterans.He served as a Lenoir County Commissioner for 10 years,and was a member of the Woodmen of the World,member of Northwest Christian Church,and past deacon.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Westview Ceme- tery with Dr.Robert Opperman officiating.Survivers include his wife,Mrs.Hazel Faulkner Edwards of the home;a brother,Mr.E. Merle Edwards and wife,Ollie od Kinston;two nephews, Merle White Edwards and wife Elizabeth of Ayden,N.C.,and Thomas L.Edwards and wife,Carla of Greenville,N.C.;one niece,Mrs.Bessie Edwards Miley of Inverness,Fl.
