Major Garner KINSTON - Major Garner, 101, of 513 Larkspur Road, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, La Grange with Dr. Michael A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the La Grange Ceme-tery. Survivors include daughters Emma Stanford of Kinston, Elizabeth Plant of Wilming-ton, Del.; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 49 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7 at LaGrange Funeral Services.
