KINSTON - Mildred P.F. Warren entered into everlasting life on January 16, 2009. She was born January 17, 1926 to Oscar Lewis and Eleanor Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Willard Epperson, brother Willard Epperson, and her husband Thomas Davis Warren. She will be remembered as a loving mother and faithful friend. She was a lover of flowers and grew them everywhere she lived. She often stated that she was never closer to God then she was in the garden. She was creative and loved to read, write and tell stories. She is survived by her youngest brother Charles Epperson and wife Virginia of Lanexa, VA. Her surviving six children are El-eanor Karkhoff and husband Edward of CA.; Robert Floyd and wife Margaret, of Hud-son N.C.; Gary Floyd of McKeesport PA; David Floyd and wife Carole of Las Vegas, Nevada; Karen Alwin and husband Steve of Elgin, IL; and Lisa Sowers and husband Erik of Kinston, N.C. There are fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There will a graveside service for family and friends at Westside Cemetery Sunday, January 18th at two o'clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the American Cancer Society. Mama touched the lives of many, may she enjoy all that heaven holds. Edwards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. .
