MINNIE NEWBERRY Kinston, Dec. 28 - Mrs. Millie Newberry, one of the oldest residents of the town of Newport and that vicinity, died at her residence there recently. She was 87 years of age. Mrs. Newberry had been ill a week. She was well known in the section about the line between Craven and Carteret counties. The funeral, held Tuesday afternoon, was largely attended. A Baptist minister officiated. Scores of relatives and friends from this city and New Bern witnessed the burial. Mrs. Newberry was a woman of devout religious tendencies. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Arch Noble, of Kinston. Please do not contact me as I do not have any information on these individuals.
