Taylor Succumbs to Stroke; Rites at 3 Friday Miss Olive Branch Taylor, 88, who had been making her home with a nephew, Ben Fordham for some time, succumbed to a paralytic stroke at Parrott Memorial Hospital at 8 p. m. Wednesday. She was stricken Monday. Miss Taylor was a native of Lenoir County, a daughter of the late W. G. and Carolyn Williams Taylor and had spent most of her life here. She was one of the oldest, if not the oldest, member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving with a sister, Mrs. W. G. Fordham, are a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be from Garner’s Funeral Home at 3 p. m. on Friday with burial in Maplewood Cemetery. Her pastor Dr. T. C. Johnson will officiate. Nephews will be pallbearers.
