Obituary of Pauline Williams Tyndall -- 2008

PAULINE WILLIAMS TYNDALL

Fayetteville—Mrs. Pauline Williams Tyndall, 86, of Fayetteville, formerly of Kinston, 
went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2008.  Mrs. Tyndall was born in Duplin 
County on June 13, 1921, and lived in Lenoir County on River Road in Kinston for 
over 50 years before moving to Fayetteville to be with her son, Elwood Tyndall.  
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Olive Williams; her husband, 
Elijah (Boy) Tyndall, and by several brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Tyndall and her late
husband farmed for several years and later Pauline worked in the shirt factories that 
were located in Kinston.  She was a good mother and loved her two sons, children, 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two daughters-in-law.  Survivors include her 
sons, Elwood Tyndall and wife Elaine, of Fayetteville, their children Elwood, Clayton, 
Nora, Gene and Angie, and their children, Madison, Zackary, Olivia, and Drake, and 
Harold Tyndall and wife Debbie of Winterville and their children, Amanda, Pam and 
Camille and their children Ashley and Spencer; sisters, Betty Jean Stanley of 
Fayetteville, Cathleen (Sissie) Adamson of Raeford, Ruth Sanderson of Kinston and 
Alene Hill of Mount Holly.  Pauline will be missed by her family and friends.  Funeral 
services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Howard-Carter Funeral 
Home with burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive visitors 
immediately following the graveside service.  Funeral arrangements by Howard-Carter 
Funeral Home.
