The Free Press/Sunday,July 9,2000 KINSTON-Paul Simmons Harrison,79,of Route 3,Box 311 E1,Kinston,died Friday,July 7,2000 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.He was retired from Barrus Construction Company.He was an avid trout fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his brothers and grandsons.He was also a great Daddy Paul to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents,James Franklin Harrison and Jenny Becton Harrison,and three brothers,James Harrison,Charles Harrison and Elmer Harrison.Survivors include his wife,Olene Harrison of the home;three daughters,Kay Newman and husband Keith;Paulette Harrell and husband Billy; Terri Robbins and husband Dennis,all of Kinston;brother Robert Harrison of Kinston;and a sister,Kathryn Coltrain of LaGrange;four grandchildren,Frankie Newman,Dock Davenport,Step- hanie Davenport and Devin Bell;and three great-grandchildren,Adam Newman,Jenni Newman and Trent Davenport.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday,July 10,2000 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Tim Nichols officiating.Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
