RUTH BAKER HUGGINS

Kinston—Ruth Baker Huggins, 82, of 2072 Hwy. 70 East, died Tuesday, 
December 19,  1995 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.  She was a homemaker 
and a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.  Funeral services 
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 21, from the chapel of Garner-
Stroud Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow 
in Westview Cemetery.  Survivors include two sons, Van C. Huggins and wife, 
Belinda of Kinston, and Robert Earl Huggins of Kinston; a daughter, Linda 
Huggins King and husband, Michael of Kinston; two brothers, Richard Baker 
and Chancey Baker, both of Kinston; two sisters, Gladys Croom of Kinston 
and Virginia Jones of Jacksonville, FL; three granddaughters: Vanessa Cire,  
Michelle Huggins and Melissa King; three grandsons: Michael King, Jr., 
Robert E. Huggins, II, and Stephen King; one great-grandson, Levi Cire, and 
a host of other relatives and friends.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 
9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Garner-Stroud Funeral Home is in 
charge of arrangements.
