"VIRGINIA LEE COWPER, KINSTON -- Mrs. Virginia Lee Cowper age 83 of 604 Edwards Ave. died Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cowper was a Ret. Medical Technologist having worked with Duke Medical Center, Craven County Health Dept. and with Drs. Keiter and Arnold, both of Kinston. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2000 from St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Father Michael Singer officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Albert W. Cowper of the home; son, Lee F. Cowper and wife Mary Beth, both of Wilmington, NC; sisters-in-law, Jeanne C. Nelms and Stephanie Smith, both of Kinston, NC; cousins, Thomas L. Lee Jr. and Patricia Lee Jenkins, both of Kinston, NC; two special friends and care givers, Mildred Lang and Ida Mae Barnes. The family will receive friends from the home at 604 Edwards Ave. on Thursday, October 5, 2000 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 800 Rountree, Kinston, NC 28501 or to Virginia Episcopal School Cowper Fund, P.O.
