Obituary of Wayne Grady ~ 2010

KINSTON - Mr. Wayne Grady, 89, passed away Tuesday evening, January 19, 2010, at 
Lenoir Memorial Hos-pital in Kinston following an extended period of declining health. A 
native of Greene County, he was born Janu-ary 22, 1920, the son of Clarence and Eugenia 
Howell Grady. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and had 
retired from Caswell Center in Kinston. Mr. Grady was a member of Hull Road F.W.B. 
Church in the Arba community of Greene County. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. 
Thursday, January 21, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill with the 
Reverend Leon Grubbs officiating. Commit-tal services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 
22, at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. Mr. Grady is sur-vived by his devoted and beloved 
wife, Betty H. Grady; daughters Sheila M. Harrell and husband John, and Betty Bradley, all 
of Kinston; a grandson, John Robert Harrell Jr. and wife Kristy, of La Grange; sisters Ann 
Denton of Stantonsburg, and Pearl Callis and Marilyn Jones, both of Maryland; and a brother, 
Stanley Hemby of Kinston. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening following the 
service and other times at the residence, 1859 Pauls Path Road, Kinston, NC. Flowers are 
welcome or memorials may be made to Hull Road F.W.B. Church, 3984 Hull Road, Snow
