KINSTON - Wilson Wayne Waller, 86, of 1190 Highway 258 North, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Waller and Sudie Thomas Waller Mozingo; a son, Charlie Joseph Waller; sisters, Virginia Mozingo, Ozora Jenkins, Grace Radford, Helen Jackson; and a brother, T.B. Waller. Wilson served in the U.S.M.C. for eight years, serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. After his retirement from Sears and EI DuPont, he worked at Garner Funeral Home for several years. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Daughtry and the Reverend Chris Singleton officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Fairview Cemetery in La Grange. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Hattie Parrott Waller of the home; his daughters, Linda Grimes and husband Bob, of Everetts and Wilma Parker and husband Mike, of Kinston; two step-brothers, William Gerald Mozingo of Deerpark, Fla., and Bobby Clifton Mozingo of Apopka, Fla.; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday evening immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Westside F.W.B. Family Life Center, P.O.
